Julius Omot
Julius Omot is Community Services Coordinator at Anywaa Community in Minnesota (ACM). In this role, he is responsible for advocating for our community members, and as one of the organization’s primary liaisons between the community members, government, and other nonprofit organizations. Mr. Omot is responsible for providing limited services to the community members such representing the community at meetings. In his personal capacity, he currently works as a security officer with ABM in Minneapolis.
He has previously worked as a community leader at Dadaab Refugee Camp in Kenya, and as an Anywaa language interpreter for United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). He also worked as a primary school teacher.
Mr. Omot holds an associate’s degree in communications from Saint Paul Community College in St Paul, MN. Mr. Omot lives in Farmington, MN with his wife and his children.
